I love this list. Lots of spirit :)

I catch a *lot* for my rat-pack tendencies.

My wife frequently will look at my box(es) of wires (for example) and say
"why do you keep this?".

Or my tube tester and say "what good is this? it's huge".

Or my databooks and say "do you really need these?".

Or people come over and go into "the scary room" and say things like "gosh
do you compose for movies?" or "you must make a lot of money selling your
music" or "so this is what you do for a living!".

To all of these I have developed a canned response: "It's my hobby."


(Funny thing is, it's always my wife that tells visitors "you gotta see
this!")
