Yes, i think i started this confusion, misunderstanding the thread which
started with a MIDI 2 CV issue which i thought indicated a MIDI2CV which
would solely host a VCO.  As i have said already, using a Converter to just
provide key to voltage conversion requires accuracy but not great
resolution.

Were one to solely host the VCO (which i like to do) you need greater
resolution.  As you have indicated this resolution need not be achieved by a
single DAC but also can result from multiple DACS with several alternatives
for how this is achieved.
