Hello all !
You might be able to help me with a problem I have with Solton (Ketron) MS50 keyboard.
The problem is that when it is turned on, it gives the following message:
"Error: No Keyboard Avaliable, Press F6 to continue"
Than, when I press F6 key, it turns up and no sound is being heard when I hit the keyboard,
but drums and pads on the machine do work and respond.
I experienced many times that it just turned on right, with no error message given.
I was suggested by a Solton service center to check the contacts of the main chip on the board,
and I did further and actually took any IC out, cleaned the socket with spray contact cleaner and put
it back. This didn't help.
Than, I noticed that one of the two cables (IDE like) that connect the keyboard to the main board looks
"broken", like someone closed that case right on it. So I took a standard PC IDE cable and made a new cable using the original cables plugs. Well, right after installing it, the machine came up just right with no errors at all, for the rest of that day,
but in the morning after, it came up with the error message again. Than I noticed that if the machine is not "on" for a some time, and it is turn on, the error is given, but if I let it "warm up" for a minuite, and than turn it off and on again, it comes up with no errors !
Now (a week later) it gives me more errors than before, and not always turns up right after "warming up".
Does any of you have any idea or suggestions for how to solve this problem ?
Thanks in advance !
