Hi
I just saw a cool demo of a new chip available from Anadigm which is
basically an analog FPGA. They call it an FPAA. This has been tried before
but not with applications in the audio range. Now Anadigm has this out and I
can see many uses for reconfigurable analog circiuts. It requires a
bitstream much like a Xilinx FPGA but is updatable in realtime.
The demo I saw was a gain stage + bandpass filter. Not much zippering effect
and filter sweeps were cool... Definately worth watching.
Their website is www.anadigm.com
cheers,
Peff
disclaimer: I am providing this info for people interested in new and
interesting technology. Naysayers please direct snotty comments to Anadigm,
not me. I enjoy matching transistors as much as anyone else on this list.
