I have heard some interesting things about heart
disease recently. Some research is showing that the
plaque in the arteries is there as a patch for leaky
vessels, and its the continuous patching activity that
causes the eventual blockage. The leaks are caused
(some think) by bad diets lacking in vitamins, etc.
The attempt to reduce cholesterol with diet and drugs
only takes away the body's patch kit. Dr Linus Pauling
and his followers are the ones who started all of
this.
It may be worth looking into.
