Exactly. Furthermore, a simple structure such as 2 EGs + 2 LFOs + 1 VCO
+ 1 VCF + VCA doesn't offer much freedom for weird patching...
IMHO it doesn't justify complex switch matrix structure anyway.
Therefore, my suggestion of adc / dac is still valid...
