for opensynth, we planned on a 24bit wide parallel bus and the use of an
FPGA,
to convert signals to/from the DAC/ADC onto the BUS.
A central module would control the timing of the BUS.

Bingo, this was the plan...
It also allowed one source to drive multiple inputs..

Im getting closer to doing it..
I have some things I want to do first, and then I shall be playing with
