Hello, Peter,

Good luck, I hope things work out for the poor guy! I know 
what you're going through, this year I have lost both of my 
canine companions, Midnight (Black Labrador) in June and 
Joey (Border Collie) in August. Midnight was 13 and Joey 
was 16, and they both have been responsible for protection 
from attempted burglaries. I shall be visiting my local 
animal shelter for some new friends soon. Pictures of my
