Thanks for the wealth of info!  Very helpful indeed.

These particular electrolytics will be used on the PCB for the power rails:
+15 to GND, -15 to GND and +5 to GND.  I guess I'll go either the general
purpose or low ESR route.  I'll also likely put some 100n ceramics in
parallel with them.
