If you have the .1" grid, .040 diameter holes board...
you should look at / get / use the Vector T-42A terminal
(once known as "flea clips")...  There is a small tool for
about $10 needed to push them into the board.

After that you can solder components into the slots
and wires into the holes in the terminals...
