I just tried using LED bargraph chips in a diode ladder.
It worked, it sounds good (although it does not sound
very different than silicon diodes imho)... and it looks
VERY cool as it sweeps up and down, with LEDs
glowing faintly....
I'm going to try unequal drops by using paired, different
color LEDs...
Any comments on what THAT might do...
(I'm thinking... not much)

also finished cabinet #1 (of four) for my rebuilt modular...
Aries 314 VCO
Thumbwheel select and quad mixer
Aries 317 VCF
Two VCA, Envelope Follower (an old sh!tty one), Inverter/Buffer
Two A/R envelope generators (quite nice, actually)
Its in a SKB 5 space shallow rack with a power supply. The cabinets
will daisy-chain with 2' DB-25 M/F cables... Power, KBD CV, Gate,
Trigger, Aux CV, Env 1,2,3 and LFO 1,2,3 are included in the cable.
