[sdiy] best PCB setup for Mac??

Right now I'm using running a 8100/110 with 120M RAM (although if I had to,
I could probably scrounge up more RAM from Q650 I'm not using). I've been
using it with 7.6.1 for years, and in all that time it hasn't crashed even
once, so I am not going to "upgrade" this machine to a later OS.
However, since I plan on buying a TiG4 in the Spring, I would like to
choose an application that keeps current, so the time I spend learning how
to use it will not be wasted.
Anyway, there seem to be three choices out there:
Osmond -- beta version is free, don't know how much the final version cost
Douglas -- only $25, This can be used if Douglas makes the PCB's,
but the "upgrade" that exports Gerber files is $495!!
PCBWarrior -- $30 shareware
Does anyone have any experience with these??
Has anyone had Douglas made boards for them?? Was it cost effective?? Can
Osmond files be imported into the $25 version of Douglas??
Can Douglas files be imported into Osmond??
Any thoughts?? Is there a free or inexpensive version of SPICE or other
circuit simulator that integrates with any of these applications??
Not that I plan on having PCB's made for designs I haven't breadboarded,
but SPICE could be useful for circuit development -- enter the breadboard
into the layout software, move it to SPICE, try improvements, update the
breadboard to new SPICE model, move it back to the layout software, and so
on. While that might sound rather ambitious for "home use", I would like
to improve my self-education in electronics.
