[sdiy] 1/8th inch questions

My modular synth uses 1/8th inch jacks. I've been
hearing how banana plugs can be stacked to distribute 
signals in a more flexible manner. Too late to switch
now! How do people out there acheive the same effect
with 1/8th inch? Can you make a Y-cord by soldering
two cords to one plug? Or maybe a panel with jacks for
this purpose. Will CV levels change?
