For ferrite beads on Ken's CGS and Tony's Oakley stuff, I've been using
Mouser's part #542-FB73-226 (I'm in the U.S.). They're made by J.W.Miller and
rated up to 40MHz. They are the same length as the body of a 1/4W resistor.
Just stick a scrapped length of clipped resistor lead through it to mount it
on the board. A little expensive at $0.38 each, but I figure it's an extra
something the designer thought to put space in for, so why not.
