Keith,

Good form!  I actually thought the last sample sounded a little distorted -
this one is much much cleaner! What a diff a zener makes.

Now, try one with a much much shorter envelope (attack on "1", all other
stages on ZERO) that has silience between notes which is a lot longer than
the notes itself, like five beat rests for beat note- this will give you a
chance to really hear the effect of the combo ring thing.

Now - use the very same envelope in a standard VCA and you'll freak how
different it is.
