I think this is not necessarily the case, if your refresh is done with a timer, you 
can disable the interrupt while updating the channel in the main routine. Then re-enable 
the interrupt. (Better yet, check if the timer would have triggered an interrupt, to do 
the pending refresh delayed.) Then the refresh rate would only be dictated by maximum 
tolerable droop.

I was thinking that styrene caps were the best in dielectric absorption?
