Here's a close-up of a Cana Kit 2048 stage BBD kit:

I can almost make out the chip - MN3008? (not familiar with it). Seems to be a
better price than the other 2048 stage kits I've seen.

As an interesting side-note, I ran across a reference to one of the kits (1024
stage) using a NTE replacement - NTE1641. I wasn't aware that there were NTE
BBD's out there. The data sheet for the thing makes it look like a MN3007
replacement. There's an accompanying BBD clock chip, the NTE1639. I wonder if
those are still in production? In any event, I seem to be hitting on a lot more
kits than previously. Some NOS tubes must have been dug up or they're using the
NTE's (at least for the 1024 stage kits).

The point's moot for me I guess, I have all the BBD's I'll ever want, but I
thought I'd throw this on the list in case anyone is thinking of making any BBD
based stuff. In my experience, I really do like the BBD results for
chorus/flange. These kits make a great starting point for some very interesting
hacking.
