Or do use Outlook but use this small program to launder your mail first:

Freeware, but you can send the chap a few quid for his troubles.

You get the chance to bounce or delete mails before downloading from
your server. I know some e-mail clients do this already, but with
Mailwasher you can still use OE6 if you want.
