[sdiy] Seeking info on chip

I came in to a stash of chips from a retired utility high voltage fault
sending device (commonly called a static relay). Here they are, all
socketed and ripe for picking and having fun playing with. Many are in the
series from MC660 to MC689 Motorola, which mostly appear to be CMOS logic
gates and such. I have found one site with brief descriptions (in Spanish)
and no data sheets.

But, the vast quantity are identified MC1747L. That number led me to a
CA747E as a substitute. That took me nowhere. But, one of the chips seems
to have been replaced with a UA747. I found lots of data on that one as a
dual op amp with null offset adjustment capabilities.

Any info about the suitability of said chip for audio or DC or general
comments about the UA747 is welcome. I'm gonna connect one up (as if a
UA747) and see if I get anything out of it beside smoke.

Twice I have pulled $400 Bud racks out of the dumpster. :)
