Hi All:
Seems like we are getting several e-mails a week regarding the Dark Star
Chaos. As you probably already know, this has been discontinued due to
the hard to find TI 76477 IC. (Info on the module is under the Cool Old
Stuff link).
A lot of folks seem to have this IC in their junque boxes and are
interested in bare PCBs. While we don't have any left, it is a simple
matter to order a run. This is a great way to use the 76477 as all the
parameters are voltage controlled on this PCB!
Our offer would be the PCB and original Manual. Parts are pretty easy to
get (other than the 76477). An order from Mouser and Digi-Key should do
it. Digi-Key is the source for the PCB mount pots. If you want to use
your own, they are all 50K linear.
We don't have and will not be making and front panels for this.
If you're interested, drop us an e-mail off list.
And.........
Look for the PCB on our On Line Order page as soon as we get a price
from the PCB vendor. I would expect around $35. Free shipping anywhere.
