[sdiy] A few more CD4017 questions...

Hi guys... thanks for the many responses on my previous 4017 sequencer questions.  I found lot's of great ideas for my project!

If anyone has the time, here's a couple more questions I have:

1. What's the best way to output a gate or trigger signal?  I was planning on just tapping off the 555's clock coming into pin 14... is there a better way?

2. Is it better to use pin 13 (clock enable aka inhibit) to shutoff the 4017 or just turnoff the clock input?
