Hi Steve,

There was a long discussion on tinnitus over on the Ampage effects forum a few months ago - actually
nearer the beginning of the Summer.  If you can track down the archives you may want to check it
out.

One surprising cause (at least, to me) was taking anti-inflammatories. I developed tinnitus in one
ear - high pitched whine - about two years ago just after I finished a long bout with
anti-inflammatories for arthritis.  I never made the connection until someone in the discussion
mentioned it.
