--I've used the white led; has something like 3.6V clipping. It sounds
and looks different on the scope,

For a fun  experiment, try one white going one way and two green in
series going the other. Substitute red, blue etc.

I've heard that the white is just a blue with a phosphor but they don't
behave the same IMHO. I'll bet different manuf. can have different
sounds....
