The best use of them would be IMHO in soldering practice.
That's of course if you're not satisfied with your soldering
technique ;)
If you keep'em a few years more, they'll become vintage
chips. I have a jar full of spiders... err.... old TTL chips,
and I keep them just as a memory item.
My father once made frequency meter using TTLs. Its
power supply was bigger than the whole circuitry. Recently
he made HC version of it. Now it's almost pocket-sized.
