[sdiy] The eardrum and brownian motion

Is this high-pitched "hum" not some form of Tinitus?  As I understand it,
there are 10 different types:

1) eardrum damage (I have this in my left ear)
2) middle ear problems
3) sinus and allergies
4) Cochlea damage
5) Auditory Nerve damage
6) high cholesterol
7) stress, trauma, depression (like not finding your next contract!<g>)
8) medicinal drugs, heavy metal poisoning (follows from 7<g>)
9) viral infections
10) TMJ - Temporo-Mandibular Joint problems
