[sdiy] Keyboard decoder and 74373

Hi, i'm building a keyboard decoder and i want to
latch the current key in a 74373 for use when the gate
gets low. But i'm having trouble interfacing the
74373, i'm using a 4060 counter and thought that maybe
it could be some difficulties using on 40- and 74-
series chip? All ICs are driven by a +5v supply.
I'd be grateful for any help!
