[sdiy] EMS VCO transistors

Has anyone out there built a clone of the EMS VCO?- BC169c and BC258B and Me9002  are not readily available - can anyone suggest more readily available replacements?
Still looking for early discrete VCO schematics. Can anyone help - I am sure there are quite a few.
