Sounds about right .. mine was £45 from amazon.co.uk.  I have no regets at all spending this amount of money on it!  (I did one year of a uni course in electronics and spent much more than this on the year's books - and I don't use *any* of them now)

The other very useful electronics book I bought is "Troubleshooting Analog Circuits" by Bob Pease (thanks to MOTM Paul for recommending this one!)
