[sdiy] Electronic Music Concert

Just got back from the electronic Music Concert at UCSB. Got to see
Curtis Roads in the flesh...

The music was about what you would expect from a bunch of Academics.

The one standout was Kikuhiko Hibino. His piece combined music and
video, so it was not only interesting to listen to, but it was
interesting to watch. I don't think that the video was directly related
to the music. I watched it pretty carefully, and the video did not seem
to actually respond to what we were listening to, but, I could be wrong.

Another intersting musician was Earl Howard. He did a piece on a
K2600, if I read the back of the keyboard correctly (my eyes aren't as
good as they used to be).

One disturbing thing about being on the UC campus was that they seem
to be enrolling children now. When I went to UCSB, all the students
were the same age as I was...

If anybody is interested, I can scan the program and post it on my
website.
