If you use real metal strings on a real guitarneck, you have
exellent switches. Just wire up the frets and figure out a way
to check what the highest fret touched is.

Please do more posts on how you are progressing, as I love
new interfaces to synths. Knobs and buttons are soooo boring.
Keys are buttons... boring too.
