hey, I was just thinking that you could remove the hum from a slinky spring reverb by using a plastic slinky, then it wouldn't be affected by electromagnitism... then you could have a caseless spring reverb, which would look pretty cool... though I guess it would be affected by "ambient" noise (i.e. from stuido monitors : P)...
