Hi,
I am building some old synth circuits from the 1970's which use dual FET's
(the familiar IMF3958). These are rather expensive and hard to locate, so I
was wondering if list members had any good advice on what will work in their
place ? I was thinking of using two 2N3819's...or should I just breath in
and pay $12 for them?

Here are the other subsititions I am planning - any views gratefully
received !!

AD818 - MAT02
AD820 - MAT03
QD402 - MAT02
QD102 - MAT03
MP-1 - BC550 and BC560 (The MP-1 is a NPN and PNP)
Using BC550/560's at first to test the circuit before installing the
expensive MAT's.

2N5828 - BC550
1N4950 - 1N4148

556 Op Amp - one half of NE5532
558 Dual Op Amp - NE5532
748 Op Amp - LM301

Apologies for yet another subsitution question...
Progress on these circuits is being logged on the following web page.

Many Thanks
