The RCA chip was the CA3096... three NPN and two PNP...
bad news (yeah... here also) is that those are Lateral PNP (which I
don't
pretend to know the exact geometry...) which suffer from extreme die
size...
low gain... poor frequency response...
to their credit, they 'are' PNP....
I'm a 2SA798 fan... now a 2SA1349 fan (since the 798 is now gone)
