[sdiy] Latest Project

I have a bag of push-button switches (DPDT push on-push off) destined for a
project like this. The circuit I was going to use was just a standard
sequencer plan with the pots replaced by the switches, and a logic circuit
instead of the output stage (AND with the clock to make the pulses). I used
to have a Roland TR-808 drum machine and used it's 3 gate outs to drive 3
modified Sequential Pro-ones. I loaded notes into the Pro-ones memory and
played them with the gates from the 808. Lots of great patters would happen
when the beats and notes counts didn't match. Lots of time through till they
repeated. I always wondered why there were never any modules for doing this
on the new modulars out there. Cost I guess. I was going to make a
"programmable" version with the circuit connected to a PCB edge connector.
Standard edge connector PCBs with cheap dip switches would be plugged in. It
was going to be laid out so you could switch between cards for live playing.
An alternate for expensive switches.
