The CA3280 was the "replacement" for the CA3080, however, it is not a pin
for pin replacement (i.e., if you are repairing something that needs a CA3080,
you need to replace it with a CA3080). The CA3280 is a dual OTA, plus it has
linearizing diodes in it. For a new design, the CA3280 is a better choice in
that it is a much higher performer than the CA3080 (bandwidth and offset
voltage mostly).

You can get the CA3280 from future active (http://www.future-active.com),
but the minimum buy seems to be 25 peices (1 tube). However, if you already
have boards that use the CA3080, you probably don't want to purchase these
(for the reasons above).

You can also purchase them from me. I sell them at the 100 unit price
($2.65) in small quantities.

You can also learn more about the CA3280 on one of my web pages :

Always willing to beat it some more...
