[sdiy] List Archives? and CA 3080 Question?

Hi List!

Is there any kind of archive for all the information presented here day
after day?

If so, could someone please show me how to access the info?

I remember recently reading about the classic
CA 3080 "Voltage Control Anything you want" op Amp... and seem to remember
someone suggesting that there is now a more modern replacement for it
(like a 3880, or a 3280)??

I'm wondering what the new part is, where to get it, and if I should just
stick to the classic - or plug the new ones right into my PC Boards?
Are the directly replaceable? and what might be the advantages?

I apologize in advance, because I have a feeling that this subject must
surely have been beaten to death by now - LOL!
