Loading effects can warp the response. Chris List has an applet that demonstrates loading effects at
http://www.mindspring.com/~clist/PotGraph.html. 100K pot with a 100K load resistance doesn't warp the
response too bad, and so may be acceptable. 10K with a 100K load resistance gives negligible warping.
You can use the warping effects on purpose, to make a lin pot behave "feel" a log pot. For example, use
a 100K pot with a 47K load resistance (try it on Chris' applet).
