The Alps or Panasonic "Rail-type" 100mm faders are pretty nice, much better
than the cheap pressed sheetmetal PCB-mount ones.  Digikey had the Panasonic
ones in various values & tapers for  around $30.

Alternately, check Ebay for old Penny & Giles faders.  They're the "Real
thing" when it comes to nice faders.
