Did your clap not work at all ?
I used the wrong value initially, and instead of getting the 3 rapid falling
ramps inthe envelope, I just got one - the sound was less crunchy, but
without a real 808 clap to compare it to, you might not notice.
I built the 909 clap just after the 808, and the circuits are almost the
same.
I noticed the difference between the cap values between the two, and fixed
the error.
