I question the "all skills possessed" assumption...

I think the Analog Synth could be done in less man
hours than the digital synth...

If you had a lot of experience in digital (legacy
code that could be reused...) you might change the
picture. I see the digital synth as having a huge
investment in intellectual property.

(more than I could get in 100 years so I go analog...)
