I think the issue here is not that we don't like her input (far from it,
I find it quite amusing :-) but the abrupt approach thus taken.

But, now that Eva/Nenotchka (sp?) is here, welcome!  Do join our merry
little band, drag up a chair and help yourself to the biscuits.  Tea is in
the pot.

Of course, there is also the issue of courtesy and respect, just like in
any other communal environment.
