Well, last I checked, the list is "synth-diy". I saw that the
post was something about a synth of some kind, but I can't
recall seeing anything do-it-yourself in the post. Am I wrong
in my perception that diy means things like building, designing,
troubleshooting, fixing... those sorts of things done
"yourself"? Maybe I don't get it, but posting art is probably
not what is meant by "synth-diy". There are better places for
that, places where the audience expects and appreciates that.
Ah, but one can say that the unexpected nature of it was what
made it art in the first place. If that's the case, then why
not appreciate finding a cockroach in the sandwich you just
bought at a restaurant? Perhaps it was the chef's performance
art. And I think that chef would have to expect the patron's
obvious reaction, just as she should expect and appreciate the
negative reaction she got for posting what she did.
One might argue that the art was something she did herself.
Fine. But then aren't we faced with a meaningless list charter?
