Do a google search for "Troubador Tech" and look there... they have a
LOT
of good info on all the commercially available units (ever made..)
You will need a hex pickup to do midi guitar. Roland makes one. I used
the
pickup from the G-Vox guitar to computer system. Last year Guitar Center
blew them all out for $39 for the system... I used the pickup and
trashed the rest.
There is a LOT of delay in a guitar to ANYTHING conversion... because
the lowest
guitar string takes 12ms for a full cycle (and it might take several
cycles to decide on
a pitch). Try a commercial unit before you bother to try and build one
yourself.
