I don't think that's what he wanted. I  imagine Marus was looking for this.

a = input
b = in of first module
c = out of first modules
d = in of second module
e = out of second module
f = output

then you need a TPDT switch wired like this

b-a-d
d-c-f
f-e-c


when it is in the "left mode" you will have input-first module-second 
module-output
when it is in the "right mode" upi will have input-second mdule-first 
module-output


am I right?
