Yep, they are MEMS (Micro Electronic Machined Sensors
or Micro Etched... or Machined something something
Sensors... something). I don't know what package free samples
are available in now. Mine are surface mount. They are probably
just bare molicules that no human can solder to now.
One thing about them is they work down to DC. Accelerometers
that use charge amps are AC, so they won't work for tilt.
