Yes, I believe that those cables will work with 8 inch floppies. If I recall
correctly, 8 inch and 5-1/4 inch floppies both use the same 34 pin card edge
connector. However, I prefer the Persci floppy drive, with a voice coil head
positioner over the Shugart.
