I didn't know PAIA has done this. Do they have any MIDI retrofits
available? Especially for the Roland TR-808 drum machine which I have.

Yeah. That would be nice. At least if they don't use custom ICs or
something which is impossible to get hold of for the rest of us.

Agreed. Why don't you contact them and suggest it directly to them. They
probably don't have time to (or even know about) this mailing list.
