Heya DIY-ers...
Tanx a bunch for the top octave info. Yeah, I shoulda
know these had fallen by the wayside.
So now I'm onto a different gadget.
(this'll be my first project in 20 years!)
I found a MM5871 Rhythm Pattern Generator in my old
electronics box.
So here's the plan:
I want to use the trigger outs to drive my Simmons
Drums inputs. (sort of a grandmaw beat box from hell)
hehe.
I have all the data sheets and some schematics and
they all show a cap & resistor associated with the
trigger outs as they go to the simple "voices" that
are suggested.
If I want just the triggers, do I run them direct to
my output jacks on my proposed box? (this, in turn,
goes to the 1/4" pad inputs on my simmons)
Will that blow the chip if I get a small ground fault?
Do I need more circuitry to make it function?
TIA for any advice, Loth.
