I'm sure there's no shortage of people with spare keyboards they could
donate to you Tim. If there's no-one in short postage distance from you I
can do you a nice microsoft keyboard if you like. Only make sure you get
yourself a wrist brace before using it or you'll end up with a wrist like mine.

Now if you were using linux, you could just grep them out of your life and
you'd never need wear out your DEL key. Have you thought of using
re-mapping software to change the delete key to another key that's less used?

Honestly Tim, you should know by now that the best ideas on this list a
born out of the OT stuff we come up with. This whole thing has led to
people talking about using old gear as controllers in various ways and lets
face it, the thread wouldn't continue if it weren't interesting. There are
a lot of threads on here, OT or not which aren't in my area of interests.
Statistically I should be the one complaining about the worn out delete
key. But that's the beauty of diversity. And every now and then it leads me
to think about something in a way I've never done before. And I _REALLY_
value that.

The true beauty in this list, and it's value, lies not in it's topic but in
it's community. And if you think about it like that, there's no such thing
as an off topic thread because whilst we are all here because we're into
this stuff, the topic is only a catalyst. And those things which are off
topic always follow a path home. One way or another.

When I was in Uni I studied dance. Yeah me, mr fat bastard dancing I know.
The point is I went in there to better my understand of writing music for
dance but what I found was the world's cultural diversity. And an element
of music I'd long sort to define. I'm not going to go down that path but
suffice it to say it was not the words that mattered but the meaning.

If you think that was off topic or noise. Think about this. You guys are
probably the only people in the world who would have understood the meaning
of that rant. All of this stuff might not of interested you but it
obviously struck a cord with some people. And whilst it was not my
intention at the outset, perhaps one day, one of us will be in a position
to do something and think back to the time when we talked about old
computer junk and just might do good. Who knows? Shit happens.

Be absolutely Icebox.
