But for the stuff I'm making (surface mount) I can't see an alternative.
Some earlier Protel versions were too buggy to use, but the 98 here
seems perfectly stable.
If I *HAD* to do layout myself, PCB Interactive Assistant from
Germany is very cheap (<$100) and works fine for any normal kind of
synth-diy. Easy peasy to use. Search for PCB Waldheim.
